Some of the new HF digital modes offer new opportunities and challenges to communicate with other ham around the world, especially now that we are on the down trending side of sunspot activity. A simple home brewed interface, PC (old is OK), and 10 watts on SSB is all you need. If you have a QRP rig but have become disappointed with performance on SSB – your’ve got to switch to PSK-31 or some other digital mode.
